Not all careers need to start with a college degree. Project Bright Future uses a strong network of educational opportunities and business partners to empower students to prepare for their careers and potentially earn an income while still in school. The program harnesses the resources of the Upper Shore—a three-county region including Kent, Cecil, and Queen Anne’s—to help students build skills and obtain hands-on experience, preparing Upper Shore youth to confidently enter the workforce and boost their earning potential right from the start.
Using CTE education as a catalyst, students have the chance to begin a successful health sciences career that makes a real impact. As part of the specialized heath-centered program, students can apply their skills to real-life scenarios and earn college credit, as well as state and/or nationally recognized certifications.
With a growing demand for skilled educators and classroom leaders, students in the Education pathway are gaining a head start in shaping future generations. Through USRC’s education-focused CTE program, students explore early childhood, elementary, and secondary education careers while building real-world teaching skills. From classroom internships to dual credit options, this pathway helps students gain experience, confidence, and credentials to launch a rewarding future in education.
